The beginning of our story

Since 2006, I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of children, hundreds of families, and many team members from all areas of expertise.

Speech and language therapist, university lecturer, researcher— roles that I have been playing since the beginning of my professional journey. But my true identity is that of a speech and language therapist.

I believe deeply—and research confirms it—in the power of collaboration and empowerment.

Yet today, I am worried.

Articles, research, and clear data show that, today, children are developing fewer skills—despite having all the potential, or even more, to develop so many.
